Actually, I'm really bad at "introducing myself". I never quite know what to say. But of course I would like to welcome you here in my Story Garden. And with a welcome you usually tell something about yourself, right? Now let me tell you something about what I love most: writing stories. 😊 That says a lot about me.

“Why are you writing?”
I was once asked this question by someone who, like me, enjoys writing stories. I thought it was a good question, but it took me a while to think about answering it. During that process, of unconsciously letting my thoughts simmer, I listened to a Frank Boeijen song and suddenly heard what he was singing: 'I hear music everywhere, so it's better if I sleep.'
My answer came spontaneously: 'I hear stories everywhere, that's why it's better when I write.' My head is populated by characters of all kinds, from alter egos to fairy tales. They live and talk to me. If I give them space, a dialogue or a scene from a story easily unfolds. The best way to give space to this sometimes chaotic affair is to start writing.
