I studied traditional printmaking and do much of my print work in drypoint; I create plates by scratching lines into acrylic sheets with an etching needle. I also made quite a few linocuts. I've neglected art-making for quite some time and I'm trying to get back into it by taking Domestika courses that inspire and motivate me to get back to drawing.
I am an avid photographer and spend a large portion of my free time outdoors on the land. The arctic is a place of rugged beauty and I draw a lot of inspiration from the environment and the wildlife here. I am attracted to the juxtaposition of tragedy and beauty.
I graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design in 2010 with the board of governor’s award for print media. My work has been exhibited across Canada the United States, as well as in Australia, Italy, Poland, and Mexico.
