Leonie Thoby

Hi, I am French and have been studying and living in the UK for over 8 years now. Mum of my son and step son and living with my partner, our kids and our two cats. I always enjoyed drawing and painting. By trade I am a vegan chef but after covid I had to start to work from home and decided to become a self employed illustrator and translator.
I mainly do botanical watercolours and illustrations along with garden plans and anything in bewteen.
Have been dreaming about becoming a children's book author and illustrator since high school and have been working slowly towards it. Trying to settle my ideas as I have too many and to find my style to start somewhere with kids books.

My goal is to become the next Beatrix Potter (I know I dream big), but her approach to her career is an inspiration along with her art.

So here I am trying to juggle work and mum life to one day, I hope, create successful books for a living.
For now I now I have a long way to go and a lot of learning to do.
