I live in Sri Lanka, a beautiful tropical island of many climates, popularly known as the pearl of the Indian ocean. I have been a communications professional all my working life, but now work from home as a business writer. I write annual and conference reports, corporate profiles and stuff, which are boring but bring in the bucks. But my passion is creative writing, and my dream is to write my life story. I've led an eventful and unusual life, and I'd like to tell it to the world, in a semi-fiction novel. I've not progressed beyond the title of the book, though! I'd like to write short stories as well, but just can't seem to find the plots. Having said that, I once entered a short story competition on Ethnic Harmony and was awarded first prize, so there might be hope for me? Hoping this course will give me the necessary 'impetus' to just sit down and write, creatively. I'm a keen gardener as well, and am proud to have landscaped my garden, which U call my 'garden of Eden' and is my solace and 'go to' place during these COVID times. My cover pic is of my garden. I enjoy reading too, but lately seem to be watching movies, mainly.... guess they are a distraction from all the bad news we seem to be inundated with?! I've never followed a course like this and feel I'm going to enjoy the ride!
