Raffaella Fiore

Hi, I'm Raffaella and I would like to explain to you what I do in my life. I studied biology and natural sciences and I collaborate with scientific, ethnographic and anthropological museums since many years. I also work with schools where I prepare lessons and workshops on environmental education, science, climate change and sustainability.
With museums I deal with fixing and rebuilding museum exhibits, graphics of panels with concepts that concern the heritage interpretation and accessibility. I specialized in museum and language accessibility by studying alternative augmentative communication and studying communication issues in relation to physical and cognitive disabilities.
For 20 years I managed a social promotion association that dealt with scientific divulgation and I organized research projects in Mexico on the communication of howler monkeys in the forests of Los Tuxtlas with the University of Veracruz in Xalapa and Unam. I also dealt with forensic botany and created a permanent installation at the botanical garden of Milan and worked to produce an App on the Android and Apple stores for two botanical gardens in Milan. I travel a lot to learn about new cultural and environmental realities. I am a non-professional photographer and I love photography. I love museums that I visit a lot, as well as temporary exhibitions. I created and edited two temporary exhibitions that I exhibited in some Italian museums and in Lugano on alien species and plants and their adaptations.
