TWENTY years ago I sought out drawing as a way to heal from trauma. For a some time, I lost myself in the process. At that time, I was still working as an RN,and it was difficult for me to draw and maintain my job so the drawing was very very sporadic, although I did recognize I enjoyed it very much. At this time, my art was very much focused on reflecting my feelings. Many years later, after revisiting those drawings, I began to draw again. I was amazed at how poor my drawings were. My sketchbook was teenyweeny...three inches by four inches. I loved it! Drawing pencils, then a few markers and finally I remember purchasing some water colors, brushes and a more generously proportioned sketchbook . Then that scary part of .... just BEGINNING..... and then continuing. That was about 2017.
Continuing,I explore trying to find a style that is mine by drawing every day, browsing other ppls accomplishments and paying more focused attention to why I like certain art. Although I have followed some tutorials on line, this is the first course I have taken.
