My name is Kas. I’m a filmmaker and writer who sometimes ends up on stage.
I started with a documentary — The Breath of the Orchestra — about music, silence, and the strange choreography of people trying to breathe together. Later, I turned to performance and movement. I work with Butō and somatic practices, exploring how the body remembers things the mind would rather skip. Lately, I’ve been collaborating with doctors and caregivers who work with disorders of consciousness. It keeps me grounded — and reminds me that art, at its best, is just another way of paying attention.
