John Swanson

Although I'd always enjoyed drawing, I first decided to take it more seriously during a sabbatical period from work. My aim then was to write and illustrate a book about the lake District, which I eventually did; A Fellwalker's Notes is still available on Amazon and some other sites.
Since then I've split my drawing time between life drawing, urban (and not-urban) sketching, and more recently, prompted by the lockdown, story illustration.
I've sold some pictures, but am not really focused on sales - I'm amateur.
