Julie Gilligan

An art teacher once wrote on my school report "Julie tries hard but has no artistic talent whatever". I was heartbroken because I love the creative side of life, especially colour and the emotional response that art illicits from me and as I also have a desire to take part in the creative process myself, this comment stayed with me. Until now my vehicle for creativity has been through yarn and knitting and I have lacked the confidence, time and knowledge of where to start with creating art of my own. Having recently retired I decided that now is the time. I have no lofty ambitions, I simply want to enjoy the creative process and hopefully produce something I like along the way!
