Julian Jaeger

Hallo everyone,
I am Julian, a working photographer and journalist in the south of Germany. My grandma was already a photographer and being one myself was too normal to see it as a career. Therefore, I studied and finished a Bachelor of Science in Biology, aiming to be a marine biologist, must loving the ocean and its wild worlds. After an unexpected long time of five years working in front of the cameras as a photo model and being world nomad, I worked with loads of different photographers, learning about settings, lighting - and generally the industry. Nevertheless, I decided to take on a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Anthropology, which led me to be a writer. Throughout that time, I visited tribespeople in the Amazon and learned about ethnography and artistic sciences/ scientific arts. My final thesis was a foto-philosophical exploration of the return of wolves to Germany. Nowadays, I am interested to work both in the direction of portraits as well as for photojournalistic content. On the side I am starting a local production company, artistic management and people/model agency, too, so I can work together with some friends. I still need a lot of help, though ;-).
