Julia Blattman

Nice to meet you, I'm Julia!

I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area in California. I attended Academy of Art University and got a BFA in Illustration in 2015. I went through many years of hauling my giant dorky portfolio bag up and down the super steep hills of San Francisco! After school I moved down to Los Angeles to pursue my dream of working in animation.

I'm currently a visual development artist at Netflix Animation helping out on a feature film. My day to day is usually helping ideas come to life on the big screen! I help design worlds, color, lighting, etc for movies and tv series. I love my job because it always keeps me on my toes, I never know what I'll be doing next.

When I'm not in the office, I like hanging out with my cat and connecting with fellow artist friends here in Los Angeles. I also enjoy illustrating children's books and teaching classes on the side.
