John Gardner

Hello, my name is John Gardner but I have a screen name too and it’s Akshay Anand. I am an actor in the Indian Film Industry which is popularly called Bollywood. I was born and brought up in Delhi. I finished my schooling in Delhi at St Xaviers School and completed my graduation in Bombay at St Xavier’s College. I graduated with a double majors in Economics and Commerce. After I graduated I did a business for 2 years in Calcutta and then joined the film industry. I have been acting for 32 years in films, TV serials and commercials. I have had the privilege of writing too. I have written 3 films that have been produced and many more scripts in various genres. I find espionage which also has a thriller element in its narrative my favourite subjects to write on. I have completed 11 stories and plan to write more as the ideas keep coming to mind. I want to keep learning the craft of writing which I find very satisfying and fulfilling in my spare time. I am married with 2 children, a girl aged 18 and a boy aged 25. I am also a farmer and travel to my ancestral farm lands in U.P to do some farming which keeps me connected to the local folks of the village and their lives. On the whole I am enjoying my life and want to tell stories of places I visit people I meet and weave them all together to make interesting characters who are navigating through life in various ways.
