Jennifer McLarty

Most of the year I am consumed by my roles of wife/mother and middle school art teacher. Summer is time for myself. I enjoy drawing, printmaking and ceramics. I exhaust my summer months with my own personal art work and travel to national parks involving my family in as much as they can handle. My dog, Maggie, is my most loyal art critic and fan. She watches me constantly. I can do no wrong by my family’s standards. Art for me, at this time in my life, is my calming escape. Middle schoolers can be tough and full of drama. That’s an understatement. At this time, I have no interest in selling my work. I do it for me. During the school year, I devote my work and share it with my students. Mostly it’s all for their benefit.
