Javier Torras Casas

I have been working in the arts and crafts sector for a number of years and I have recently graduated with
a masters in Painting at the University of the Arts London with a distinction, which has pushed me forward
towards more ambitious projects as an artist in the future. Art skills, curiosity, passion and commitment
to my professional practice are habits that could be highlighted retrospectively in my career.

The need to be an organized person, who knows how to plan and manage an exhibition has been shown
on several occasions. I have been fully responsible to make decisions in the process of curating a show in
several occasions, installing and de-installing as well as promoting it on the social media and I have been
part of a curating team at Wimbledon College of Art and at the Lewisham Art House. My experience as an
artist has thought me how to coordinate everything that goes on behind the scenes of an art show, all the
process of packaging, shipping, conditions checking and most importantly, the ability and taste to take
good pictures of my own artworks.

I also have computer skills acquired when editing my own website, designing a catalogue for an exhibition
and managing social media as an artist (). Moreover I speak English, Spanish and
Italian and I am very competent at writing in those languages. What complements all this experience is
my interest in being in touch with other people, to work in a team of curators, technicians, artists and
customers is something that makes me look forward to working with you.
