Javi Gesto

Javi Gesto is a creative and filmmaker from Madrid with over 20 year career. He was born and raised in Argentine where he worked for 5 years in television until 1989. After moving to Spain, he started working as editor, freelance filmmaker, graphic animator for many clients such as Canal Plus, A3TV among others, he founded his own production company Struendo Filmmaker together with his partner in 2000, a collective of artists, filmmakers, designers, musicians and writers.
During the last 15 years, he has mainly focused on producing and directing music videos for the main stream artist of spain, as well as TV commercial, TV promos and motion graphics. Javier has worked for EMI music, Sony music, Universal music, Warner music, Virgin Spain, Canal Plus, Disney Channel, Discovery Channel, TVE spanish television, Arte Channel, maccan erickson, publicis, walter tompson, hispasat, movistar and others.
Now he works as in house filmmaker and producer for the World Economic Forum based in Geneva, Switzerland.
