Jan Wilker is partner and creative director at karlssonwilker, a multidisciplinary, independent design studio in New York, founded in 2000.
Wilker’s career includes celebrated projects for brands including Samsung, Bloomberg, MINI/BMW, Remai Modern, Museum of the Moving Image, Nintendo, New York Times Magazine, Vitra, Reykjavik Art Museum, and Swatch.
Wilker is a member of Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI), where he currently serves as the president of US group. He has taught at Cooper Union, the School of Visual Arts, and Parsons School of Design, served as a judge for a multitude of award shows, including the CLIO Awards, Art Director’s Club, Red Dot Design Awards, TIGDA Awards, and Adobe Design Achievement Awards. He frequently hold sought-after design workshops and lectures around the world.
A native of Ulm, Germany, he attended Stuttgart University’s Architecture School and graduated from the State Academy of Art and Design Stuttgart in Communication Design.
