Isabel Potworowski

Hello! My name is Isabel, and I have loved drawing since I was young. I ended up choosing to study architecture, inspired by a trip to my family in Poland, but I have kept up drawing and art-making in my free time, whether as part of my architectural projects, going to life drawing, watercolour painting, or sketching at home. Also, my PhD research (which I am doing at Carleton University in Ottawa, scheduled to defend in February 2025) is about how architectural drawing and model-making in the design process contributes to shaping spiritual atmospheres. I have also taught undergraduate courses in architectural drawing and representation, and will also be teaching architectural drawing and design at the University of Cincinnati, starting in the fall 2024. I hope to continue learning about different drawing practices, and to meeting fellow artists.
