Irakli Bigvava is a street and documentary photographer based in Kutaisi, Georgia. His work explores the emotional landscape of public and private life, often focusing on themes of memory, silence, and resilience. Through photography, he seeks to engage with the complexities of Georgian society, its history, its pain, and its quiet defiance.
Guided by the question why, he photographs not only to find answers, but to share the questions themselves. If those questions are visible in his work, perhaps that alone is enough, or even more powerful than finding answers.
Inspired by the streets of his hometown and the stories that unfold in everyday spaces, Irakli aims to create photographs that invite reflection and conversation.
