I am Croatian, living in Austria. As a child I loved drawing, stories and making clay figurines. I was good but never trusted in myself concerning painting and drawing so I pushed myself into playing the piano and writing stories. Nothing of it was professional. I tried to get some advice about the stories, unsuccessfully, so I just continued making up stories for my niece. She is 12 now and she still wants to hear them. The passion for art never left so I graduated with a University degree in Art History in Zagreb and started to teach Art History and Croatian language and literature in Croatia. Three years ago, I left it all to move with my husband to Austria where I had to learn a new language from start. In some spare time, with a few blank canvases left from my teaching days, I started to paint. It seems I didn’t follow my passion, my passion followed me. I did some movie posters I wanted to have on the wall of our new apartment and I was surprised how good they were. I still think it is nothing special, but it is a confirmation to me that I can do it. I have so many ideas, sometimes I can't write them all down, but some of them I really want to realize so I decided to get some help from professionals and see where will it get me. It is going to be a long and bumpy ride but I will do it.
