Michael Glaberman

My name is Michael Steven Glaberman. I also go by Glabes, because there’s just too many Michaels out there. I’ve always had the compulsion to pick up a pencil and draw whatever was in front of me or whatever came to mind. Growing up I received a lot of positive feedback from my peers and was the “go to” guy for drawing things.While I have been drawing for decades, in 2019 I decided to seek out good teachers that I can learn from. I signed up with The New Masters Academy and it’s been a total game changer in my work. I’ve been learning from great people such as Steve Huston, Chris Legaspi, Glenn Vilppu, Charles Hu, and many more. I’ve been taking instruction on the head, anatomy, figure, and even just how to hold the pencil.Jerry Seinfeld once said “When you've been in show business 5-years, as a person, it's like you're 5-years old - like a child.” I think the same thing goes for art. I’m very green and I’m overwhelmed with excitement for the possibilities that will come from this journey I’m on. The skills, technique, and knowledge I’m learning will allow me to go anywhere in my work and that to me is total freedom and I’d like to share that with you.
