Fidel Peña

Fidel is a creative director and co-founder of Underline Studio. His projects at Underline have included identity and branding for the University of Toronto, the McMaster Museum of Art, Harvard Medical School and campaigns and publications for Google, UNHCR The UN Refugee Agency and Canada Post. Fidel’s work has received numerous accolades from across Canada, the US and Europe, including from the Type Directors Club, Communication Arts, the Advertising and Design Club of Canada, Laus, Latin American Design Awards, Graphis, and D&AD, and he has lectured on design topics in Spain, Peru, Mexico and Canada. He taught editorial design for two years at OCAD University and has served as a jury member for several design competitions including the Latin American Design Awards, Communication Arts and Applied Arts. He was born in El Salvador, and is a former president of the Advertising and Design Club of Canada.

Some of Underline cultural clients include the Art Museum at the University of Toronto, the National Gallery of Canada, Prefix Institute of Contemporary Art, Art Canada Institute, TO Live, Jaberi Dance Theatre, Varley Art Gallery, the Robert Mclaughlin Gallery, Sur Gallery, Richmond Hill Public Library and the McMaster Museum of Art.
