Fernando Cunanan Jr. is an architect known for his exceptional ideas and remarkable fabrications in the field of Architecture and Design. Graduated and entitled as “Best Thesis of the Year” in the Pontifical and Royal University of Santo Tomas in 2013, this individual vigorously exhibited his competitive and dynamic spirit by winning five 1st place awards, three 2nd place awards, and several other honors in both Regional and National design competitions throughout his college years where he was awarded with the “Benavides Outstanding Achievement Award” twice in 2009 and 2011. As a multi-awarded and multi-talented artist, Arch. Cunanan has been a strong proponent of the conceptualization to the construction progression in extent.

In 2013, he extended his potential and creativity in WTA Architecture + Design Studio where he continually won several more design competitions and was presented with an “Idea Factory Award” as a prestigious honor for generating the best ideas for the firm. Subsequently, he also headed a group of talented designers to construct a responsive theatre for an International competition and placed as a finalist in “Archistart Taranta Power Station, Italy”.

In 2014, he was invited by the firm as a designer and exhibitor for an international project entitled “Fragments” presented in a collateral event from “La Biennale di Venezia” curated by Rem Koolhaas held in Palazzo Mora, Venice, Italy. On that same year, Arch. Cunanan founded F Atelier to share his extraordinary visions in architectural perception. He strongly believes that good visualization can convey an immense value for every single venture. It is a profound and dynamic approach for communication, understanding and interpretation in architecture.

In 2015, he was upheld as a Senior Design Architect where he keeps his architectural practice with different scale and project typologies; from fit out stores, commercial buildings, BPO, schools, museums, performing arts theatre to boutiques hotels, and high-rise condominiums. In 2016, one of the projects he's a part of had been selected as a finalist In the World Architecture Festival held in Berlin, Germany.
