I love bright colours and I am slightly obsessed with ‘ dia de los muertos’ I love all the colours, flowers, candy skulls and the fact that the dead are celebrated. I spent part of my life living in mainland Spain and absolutely adore Barcelona, it’s my favourite city. I did A level art but wanted to attend a textile college. My parents talked me out of it and I have spent most of my adult life teaching myself new creative skills. I like to sew and taught myself on a sewing machine, I make clothes and other small sewn items like purses and patchwork items. I also make jewellery and want to combine my jewellery with textiles now. I am also interested in making my own prints on fabrics and have been playing around with this and so I decided I would do this course to help.
