David Simon was born in New York and is currently based in Los Angeles. He studied at the Rhode Island School of Design where he received his BFA. He then continued his studies at the New York Academy of Art.
David has exhibited his work at galleries and museums throughout the United States including at John Pence Gallery in San Francisco, CA, Evoke Contemporary Gallery in Santa Fe, NM, Long Beach Museum of Art in Long Beach, CA and the Chapel Art Center in Manchester, NH.
In addition to his exhibition career, David has worked in the film industry on such projects as “Where the Wild Things Are”, “Hellboy 2” and “Watchmen”.
David has taught sculpture for more than 20 years; in New York, at the Sculpture Center and the Grand Central Academy, in Los Angeles at the Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art and Santa Monica College. He is the founder of The Rome Workshops, a fine arts workshop program in Rome, Italy.
