About the final project for: Illustrated portraits with botanical elements

Illustrated portrait with botanical elements

“So we reached the end of the course! Thank you so much for taking part in my classes and I hope it was as enriching for you as a student as it was for me as a teacher. A great truth about being an artist is that we (fortunately) never stop learning. To assemble the units for each of the lessons I had to reevaluate my own way of working and reflect on how much of the things I do today without thinking are very valuable lessons that I received during the time that I am working in this area. There will be tips, tricks and other small things that can help make your life as an illustrator, or even your hobby, a faster or easier to understand process ... But if you have something about drawing that is at the same time very tiring and very fair is that the rewards only exist for those who really try! You can't fool a sheet of paper, you can't buy a steady hand, everything requires a fair amount of dedication and passion! The most important thing I have to say is that audience and style are things that meet in the middle. And learning to look at the world around you, gathering references, practicing, making mistakes, separating processes, studying each step and then doing it over and over again are the reliable pillars for continuing to move towards your goals. Within the Self-portrait theme with floral and botanical elements we saw much of what I mentioned above, in subjects such as: • Find out who inspires you to find out where you want to go, and how to get there. • The symbolism of a theme as a tool. • Learn to self-criticize and evolve from your mistakes. • Basic design concepts (colors, composition, hierarchy) to make a design convey the message you want. • Assemble an artistic piece from beginning to end. I like to believe that although this course is about a specific topic, my brief time at the industrial design college has made me a person who is always thinking in a projectual way, and so I believe following these same processes, I can attack any topic that interest you! I’m super excited to see what you’ve built during class. Share your final project on the forum and take a look at what other people have also produced! I will be available, within the limits of my abilities and schedule, and it will be a great pleasure to be able to help with any question or doubt that may arise! See you! <3 ”

“FINAL PROJECT Hi guys, we have reached the end of our course, it was a pleasure to accompany you through all these stages. And now, in this class, I'm going to take a step by step of everything we saw, for you to develop the final project. I started by telling about my history and career as an illustrator. And I also showed artists that inspire me and stimulate my creative energy with their work. We learned to look for material references, like natural flowers and leaves, books and botany pages on the internet. Then we learn to use colors to convey different feelings or atmospheres, and we ...”
