Carpenter and craftswoman

Andrea Cortés is an architect by training but, above all, a carpenter and woodworker. She is the founder of Barcelona Wood Workshops, a project in which, in addition to producing furniture and objects, she offers courses and activities to learn how to work with wood.

The aim of this project is to rescue a trade that is being lost in a world that promotes unbridled consumption and in which craftsmanship and objects made to last are no longer valued. In just two years, they have held more than 50 workshops with over 300 participants.
