The arrival of a new member of the family is one of the most important moments in the life of the parents and, as such, it is equally important to immortalize it in the best way. Photography newborn is the branch of photography specialized in newborn babies and, in this course, you will learn all the keys to get and keep the memory of the first days of a baby professionally.
Le Photograph is a children's photography studio that has captured the image of hundreds of babies in its short history. It is made up of Guille and Marina, two Bilbao photographers who will tell you the secrets of the exciting and complicated world of photography newborn .
About this course
You will briefly review the story of Guille and Marina, who will tell you how they managed to go from taking pictures at the home of the parents of the babies to having their own photography studio newborn .
They will tell you who their referents are in the world of image so you can see the techniques that inspire them.
Next they will tell you how to plan a photo session newborn , understanding what a newborn baby is like and the safety guidelines that you should keep in mind. Guille and Marina will tell you their 7 safety commandments for a session newborn .
You will make a brief review of the technical team and dare essential for the session. Then you will prepare the study with all the materials to photograph the baby in three different poses and in sets that you will create from scratch.
Once the photos are taken, you will go to the postproduction process. You will pre-select your favorite photos to reveal them in Camera Raw, correcting exposure, tone and other details. Then, you will learn to retouch them in Adobe Photoshop.
What is this course's project?
You will take three photographs with three poses in different sets, in which the baby will be the true protagonist of the scene.
Who is it for?
To photography enthusiasts newborn and parents who love photography, who would like to be able to take professional photos of their newborn baby.
What you need
You will need to have a reflex camera, a computer with Adobe Photoshop and basic photography skills. Additionally, you will need: a large diffuser, a window through which natural light enters, a pouf or a surface where to pose the baby, towels, colored elastic blankets, cloth scarves and a basket or bucket where the baby can enter.
As a model for your photos it will be essential to have the protagonist: the baby –of less than 15 days– or, failing that, with a doll.
