FPFP Final project
Meet your teacher, Nay Jiménez, who tells you about how her passion for art direction led her to experiment with photography, and how she went from being a novice in 2009 (when Instagram came out) to founding her own photography studio. She also shows you the filmmakers, photographers, and Instagrammers that inspire her work.
Begin with the basics of natural lighting and the role that color plays in a good photograph. Explore the characteristics of soft light, hard light, backlight, and dappled light, and see how to play with these elements to change the color of your photos as well as add substance and depth to them.
Next, discover the importance of composition and how visual elements are arranged. Analyze different ways of crafting an image to effectively express your vision and invite viewers to follow their imagination and get lost in your photographs.
Now it's time to get to know your phone, its features, and everything it's capable of. Nay also shows you some accessories that can help you enhance the quality of your images or simply get more out of your projects and ensure that nothing disrupts your creativity.
Then, discover that you don't need the latest tech to get great results. Learn about flat lay photography, stop motion videos, portrait photography, and videos with a model to expand your content-creating repertoire. Continue by delving into the intricacies of each technique and apply everything you've learned.
Finally, Nay teaches you how to select the best images–and delete the ones that don't work–and shows you some of her favorite apps, filters, and effects you can use to produce professional-looking photos and videos. Wrap up the course with some tips on how to publish your content and maximize its reach.
What is this course's project?
Complete four creative exercises that you can use as content for your social media: a flat lay photograph, a stop motion video, and a photo and video with a model.
