Project Description Throughout this specialization, you’ve explored self-portraiture from multiple angles: symbolism, documentary, conceptual photography, creative lighting, color exploration, and fashion language. Now it's time to integrate those approaches into a personal, polished portfolio that represents who you are—technically, creatively, and emotionally. This final project invites you to express your growth and vision through five distinct bodies of work. Each one draws from a different focus explored during the journey, forming a complete and versatile collection that reveals your evolution as both subject and image-maker. Project Components 1. Fine Art Series • A collection of 8–10 images that express a concept or emotion through symbolism, composition, and visual metaphor. 2. Visual Diary • A series of 15–20 self-portraits documenting your personal and creative evolution throughout the specialization. 3. Lighting and Color Study • 6–8 images exploring different lighting setups and color palettes to create visual atmosphere and emotional tone. 4. Fashion Self-Portrait Series • A complete fashion-oriented session with 5–7 professional-quality self-portraits, including styling, concept, and postproduction. 5. Artist Statement • A written reflection explaining your creative process, influences, and the personal meaning behind your work. Steps for Development 1. Reflect on your journey and review the work you've created across all courses. 2. Select key concepts and visual ideas from each area (fine art, documentary, lighting, fashion). 3. Plan and produce each series, ensuring technical quality and emotional clarity. 4. Edit and refine your images using consistent postproduction criteria for each set. 5. Organize your portfolio in a clear, curated format with a strong narrative flow. 6. Write your artist statement to contextualize your visual work. Final Delivery • A complete portfolio including: • 8–10 fine art self-portraits • 15–20 visual diary self-portraits • 6–8 lighting & color-focused self-portraits • 5–7 fashion self-portraits • All images must be high-resolution, well-edited, and professionally presented. • A clearly written artist statement (300–500 words). • Include brief titles or captions for each series to enrich the viewer’s understanding.
