You'll start getting to know the work of Error a little better! Design, its influences, references and favorite authors.

Then you will learn to face an assignment, get to know the client and his ideas, document to arrive at the creative concept of the poster and make the first sketches.

The next phase will be to get down to work or "cartelear" . You will start with the search of specific materials for your illustration and you will see all the tricks of Error! Design to get a perfect composition, texts, color and texture.

Finally, you will prepare the file of your project both for screen printing and for other printing methods.

WHAT IS THE PREOJECT OF THE COURSE?

You will make the poster for an event, a fictional movie or concert using the collage technique of old engravings obtained from the network or from books to create the scene that will give action to the poster.

If you are one of those who look at the street posters, if you think they need more visual impact and less Comic Sans, this is your course.

Requirements and materials

Have desire and motivation. And if you also like music and control Photoshop / Illustrator, better, but it is not very necessary.

On the materials, we will need pencil to draw sketches, a notebook, a computer with Internet, Illustrator and / or Photoshop.

As an extra, but not absolutely necessary: a scanner and printer.

Xavi Forné, genius designer, illustrator and musician is the one who hides behind the name Error! Design. He has worked for foreign bands like The Black Keys, Red Fang, Soundgarden, Wilco, Anathema, Neurosis, Russian Circles, Ólafur Arnalds, Mineral, Turbonegro, Pissed Jeans, Nada Surf, Tortoise ... and also with some of the most outstanding bands of this country: The Wonderful Alcohol Orchestra, Berri Txarrak, Love of Lesbian, Standstill, LA, etc.

He is the founder of The Poster Collective , the first concert posters portal formed solely by Spanish designers and in his free time he plays with his thousand musical projects.
