About the final project for: Guided course: visual narrative with ink and own style

Guided Project: Create stories with a pen

Now it's your turn to put everything you've learned into practice. This project is designed to help you apply the course knowledge in a creative and personal way. Ideally, you'll work from your own ideas, experiences, or stories, but if you don't know where to start, don't worry: here are some suggestions to inspire you, unlock your creativity, and let your imagination flow. The important thing is that you explore, experiment, and enjoy the process while developing your own proposal. Share your results with the community and be inspired by others! 1. Minimal stories: a vignette, an anecdote Tell a complete story in a single vignette. The challenge is to condense an emotion, situation, or memory into a powerful image with few words. Ideal for practicing narrative synthesis and finding beauty in simplicity. Project Example: Draw a cartoon about a childhood memory that always makes you laugh. 2. A five-day illustrated diary Create a short series of five vignettes (one per day) in which you narrate the most significant moments of your day. You can focus on details, thoughts, or something interesting that happened to you. This project encourages everyday observation and creative discipline. Project example: Make a mini drawn diary of a week in which “nothing special” happened, but tell how you experienced it. 3. Emotional self-portrait in comics Represent an emotional state through a short sequence of vignettes. It's not just about how you look, but how you feel. Play with visual metaphors, distortion of the body, or the environment to express your inner self. Project Example: Create a comic about how you feel when you can't sleep. 4. Graphic chronicle of an everyday place Choose a common place in your life (the market, public transportation, your bedroom) and tell it like an adventure. Notice the details, characters, and sounds, and use the comic to capture that experience in your own style. Project Example: Draw a chronicle of your journey from home to work or school, as if it were an epic story. 5. Others' stories: portrays someone else's conversation Listen to (or imagine) someone else's conversation and turn it into a short story. This exercise encourages active listening, empathy, and creative interpretation of what's happening around you. Project example: Illustrate a discussion you heard in a coffee shop, inventing the context for the characters. ”
