From this very simple and at the same time powerful base, Puño -ilustrator and Spanish educator based in Colombia- who defends that only by using his hands, his brain and some basic tools can you become a great artist, overcome the creative blockade and learn new activities for Do with your family on a rainy day.
This course is aimed at children and adults who want to discover their artistic genre, through exercises and games designed to train a specific creative or artistic skill.

What's included in this course?
You will begin by getting to know Puño, his professional career and some of his influences related to this course. Next, you will make a tour of the materials that you will use to complete the exercises of this course.
Now yes: we begin. To know how to draw, you have to know how to think. Puño will give you a good number of dynamics to stimulate creativity and look at reality in another way. The key to being a great artist is observation!
In the next unit, it will be time to sharpen your pencils. Puño will propose a series of drawing exercises to explore different worlds, from the gestural and corporal expression to the construction of drawings with geometric figures. Remember: your drawings do not have to look like things, but how we see things.
You will practice with some exercises to make contact with the materials, acquire manual skills and understand the dedication time that each project needs.
You will use colored papers to experiment with the interaction between them. Then, you will photograph real household objects to build abstract landscapes. And finally, you will learn to make drawings printed with several different colors using EVA rubber and color tempera.
What is this course project about?
At the end of the course, you will assemble an exhibition of your artistic work in your home or school using the results of each of the exercises that you will develop throughout the lessons.
Who is it for?
Children between 6 and 100 years who want to improve as artists, parents who want creative activities to do as a family, and teachers and educators who need to incorporate new dynamics to their classes.
To carry out this course you will not need to know how to draw or any other special ability.
All the proposed material is only a suggestion; If you do not find any of the materials, dare to experiment with what you have at home. Sometimes you can use coins and glasses instead of a ruler of circles, or markers instead of ink.
That said, you'll need a notebook, hard and greasy pencils, colored pencils or markers, black markers of various thicknesses, scissors, colored tempera, a roller and an old tray, EVA or cardboard box, newspapers and old magazines, glue in bar, colored cards, a camera, a printer, pins, Blu-Tack or painter's tape, clips to hold documents, old clothes to avoid getting dirty and, finally, an adult.

Puño is a professional illustrator since 1994 and it was only three years later when he also began his career as an educator specialized in creativity, illustration and graphic narration.
He has extensive experience in self-publishing and has created and directed the Ultrarradio publishing house from 2010 to 2013. He has also been director of the One Year course of Illustration and Graphic Novel of the Istituto Europeo di Design in Madrid and curator of the exhibition cycle La Ciudad en Viñetas, Madrid City Council between 2012 and 2015. It has received, among others, the Steam Boat Award 2018 and the SM 2009 International Illustration Award Foundation.
