Guided Project: Engaging Copy for Social Media Posts
“Now it's your turn to put everything you've learned into practice. This project is designed to help you apply the knowledge from the course in a creative and personal way. If you're not sure where to start, don’t worry—we’ll give you some ideas to get going and let your imagination flow. What matters most is that you explore, experiment, and enjoy the process while developing your own project. Share your result with the community and get inspired by others! 1. Launch Mini-Campaign: 3 posts to introduce a new productCreate a series of three posts designed to build anticipation, present a new product or service, and drive engagement. Focus on tone, structure, and calls to action for each post, adapting them to the format of each platform. Example project: Three posts for the launch of an illustrated planner, including a teaser, a key benefits post, and a preorder invitation. 2. Rewrite a boring post with a creative twistTake a bland or generic piece of content (yours or fictional) and turn it into something attractive, dynamic, and action-driven. Apply techniques like inversion, storytelling, or humor to capture attention. Example project: Transform “We have discounts this week” into an original, memorable Instagram Story. 3. Weekly calendar: 5 themed posts with consistent brand voiceDesign a weekly content plan with different themes (inspiration, value, interaction, product, and entertainment). Define the objective of each post and write the copy with a consistent tone of voice. Example project: Content week for a creative stationery brand with fresh, cheerful, and functional messaging. 4. Turn an insight into a powerful postStart with a simple idea or relatable truth (an “insight”) related to your brand or audience and build a post that emotionally connects. Use metaphors, comparisons, or real-life examples to make it memorable. Example project: “Nobody feels motivated on Monday, but with the right notebook, everything changes” → visual storytelling post. 5. Create a persuasive copy carouselDevelop a carousel of 5 to 7 slides with structured copy to hook the audience, develop an idea, and end with a call to action. Ideal for Instagram or LinkedIn. Example project: Carousel with tips for freelancers, starting with a bold question and ending with a prompt to save or share.”
