Guided Project: Necklace with Metal and Beads
“At Domestika, we want to give you the necessary impulse to materialize your final project. We know that sometimes the first step is the most difficult, so we've designed several proposals to inspire you. Each idea is conceived as a flexible starting point that you can: - Adapt to your level of experience - Personalize according to your tastes - Transform with your unique touch It's not about following rigid instructions but finding the spark that ignites your creativity, putting your new skills into practice, and enjoying the creative process. We have complete confidence in your talent! 1. Hanging Garden: Design a Floral Pendant Inspired by Your Favorite Flower Description: Create a unique pendant that represents your favorite flower using wire shaping and beadwork. This project will allow you to experiment with organic shapes and color combinations, while developing your personal style. You’ll learn to create the metal structure, solder it, polish it, and decorate it with beads to bring your flower to life in a lasting and charming way. Project Example: Reinterpret a daisy, orchid, or sunflower as the centerpiece of a personalized pendant. --- 2. Mini Botanical Sculptures: Create Nature-Inspired Earrings Description: Transform small metal structures into delicate earrings with botanical motifs. From leaves to tiny flowers, this project is perfect for practicing wire modeling and bead combinations to create harmonious compositions. Project Example: Design a pair of earrings shaped like twigs with green leaves and small pink flowers, as if wearing a garden on your ears. --- 3. Your Botanical Totem: Create a Pendant with Personal Meaning Description: In this project, you will design a floral pendant that symbolizes a personal value (love, strength, growth…). You will explore the language of flowers and then create a piece with shape and color that represents that meaning. Project Example: A lavender pendant (symbolizing calm) with purple beads and silver details to evoke serenity. --- 4. Floral Constellation: Composition of Brooches or Pins Description: Create a series of small brooches inspired by different flowers and plants, like a collection that can be worn together or separately. This project encourages the exploration of varied forms on a smaller scale and how they relate to each other. Project Example: Create three mini brooches: one shaped like a wildflower, another like an elongated leaf, and another like a closed bud. Each with different textures and shiny beads. --- 5. Accessory with a Story: Design a Floral Piece Inspired by a Place or Memory Description: Create a piece of jewelry that tells a personal story. Think of a place that inspires you (a forest, a garden from your childhood, a city...) and translate it into a floral piece with shape, color, and texture. Project Example: A pendant inspired by a walk through a poppy field, with bright red beads and black details, evoking that memory.
