“At Domestika we want to support you in this final phase of your course. We know that starting your project can be a challenge, so we have prepared some ideas to inspire you. Each proposal is designed to adapt to your style, level and personal preferences. These are not rigid rules, but starting points for: - Explore your creativity - Apply what you learned during the course - Develop your own style The important thing is not to follow the proposals to the letter, but to use them as inspiration to create something that reflects your vision and to enjoy the process. We can't wait to see what you create! 1. Create your first collection of themed textile prints Create a small collection of three textile prints based on a theme that inspires you: nature, geometry, pop culture or even personal memories. The goal is to explore the entire process - from the initial idea to the final visualization using models. [Project example:[/b] A collection of prints inspired by tropical flora: one with large leaves, another with small flowers and a third with abstract plant-based textures. 2. Exploring a single motif: Creative variations on one element Choose a single visual element (a flower, an eye, a silhouette, an object) and create several stylized versions to develop at least two completely different impressions. This exercise consists of broadening your creative vision through a repeated motif. [Project example:[/b] A lemon reimagined in a minimalist version, a retro-style pattern with textures and a watercolor version - three distinct prints from one concept. 3. Design a coordinated set of prints for a product line Develop 2-4 patterns that work together as a cohesive set, ready to be applied to textiles such as clothing, accessories, or home decor. The key here is to use a limited color palette and visual styles that complement each other. [Project example:[/b] A set of kitchen-themed prints: one with vegetables, one with kitchen utensils and another more abstract, inspired by textile textures. 4. Textured Prints: Mixing Handcrafted and Digital Techniques Experiment with hand-made textures (stamps, dry brush, collage) and then digitize them to create a unique textile print. This project invites you to step away from the screen and embed your personal brand in the digital world. [Project Example:[/b] A pattern made with homemade potato and foam stamps, scanned and digitally transformed into a bold, colorful design. 5. Your print in action: Designing and applying to a product The challenge here is to create a single impression and bring it to life by applying it to a real or imagined product. The goal is to adapt the size, layout and style of the design to a specific end use. [Project example:[/b] Design a positive messaging pattern for a shopping bag, scaling it to fit the shape perfectly and presenting it in a mockup.
