“Cutting the Slab In this lesson, we'll be rolling out the clay and cutting the pieces using the templates that'll make up our mug. I'll be starting by rolling out the clay like I did before. I'll cut it first using a piece of wire. I'll wrap the rest in a damp towel. What I'm doing here is trying to flatten the clay to make it easier for me to roll it out later.
