“Now that we have our beautiful birthday cakes made, I want to talk about final presentation and how you can store and cut your cakes. Since we've decorated our cake on an acrylic disc that's slightly larger than the diameter of our cake, it won't be a problem to just lift it right off the turntable and place it on a cake stand. If your cake is built on a disc that is the same diameter as your cake, you will need to take a paring knife and just go along the bottom edge of the cake to separate it from the turntable before lifting it up with a spatula and carefully moving it to the cake stand....”
