About the final project for: Macrame for beginners

Macramé for Beginners

“We've reached the end of this course. Thank you for joining! It's been a pleasure bringing you into my world, the world of macramé, and I hope you've enjoyed it as much as I have. I've shared with you my best tips of macramé, and I hope you feel more than ready to create your own projects from now on. During this course I've showed you how to make a macramé placemat from zero. I would love to see your process! Let me show you an example: The Design and Sketch Take you time to make your own inspirational mood board. Remember that you can find inspiration everywhere! Challenge yourself and make a complete unique design. Then, make the sketch to make sure it's everything that you want.

The Cords Measure and cut the cords. Based on my experience, cutting cords 5-6 times the length of the final piece (or 10-12 times if it's mounted) works well for pieces with densely arranged knots. It’s always better to have extra cord than to run out mid-project!
Knot.. Knot.. Start by knotting the top part of the placemat, keep working on the following parts of the placemat. I highly encourage you to stay focus during this process. Focus doesn't meas "stress", relax your self, enjoy the moment.
The Placemat Add the final details to your macramé pieces, including creating wavy ends and fluffy fringes using a pet brush and hairspray.
Remember to take as many breaks as you need during the knotting session to relax your back and fingers. I recommend you to keep a record of each design that you make, it'll help you remember what you've done, what worked well, and what you could improve next time. If you find yourself uncertain about any step or technique, don't hesitate to reach out to the Domestika community. Your fellow students might have invaluable insights and tips drawn from their own experiences. Be sure to share your progress with both me and the rest of the community! See you!”

“First and foremost, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for joining this course. It's been a pleasure bringing you into my world, the world of macrame. And I hope you enjoy as much as I have. As you start your own projects, remember to practice the knots and master the tension between each knot. It's the key to making stunning bits. Take as many breaks as you need during knotting section to relax your back and fingers. When measuring and cutting cords for your future projects, based on my experience, cutting cord 5 or 6 times the length of the final bit or 10 to 12 times if it's mounted ...”
