Creation of Embroidered Portraits

I knew of Sol Kessler's embroidered portraits and so I was keen to sign up for her course. I love her style

I love her detailed and thoughtful approach to her work and the interesting additional information she gives with the course. I found following her course that I have learned some great news techniques such as how to choose a colour scheme and how to make the hair look more natural and how to simplify and use lines that say something.

I still have to complete my portrait.

O curso é prático, mostra todas as etapas e a professora tem muita didática.

Sem dúvidas um dos melhores cursos que já fiz, e a maioria das bordadeiras que fazem retratos que eu admiro fizeram este curso também. Os materiais complementares são muito completos para aprimorar a técnica, sem dúvidas a Bugambilo é uma das melhores professoras daqui da domestika. A mesma dedicação que ela dá em seus cursos próprios ela colocou aqui. Já refiz algumas vezes porque cada dica que ela dá acrescenta muito no resultado final.

I LOVE BUGAMBILO!!! This is the second class of hers I've taken. I started with cyanotype. I'm still working on my final project but her teaching style is very clear and her enthusiasm is contagious. I hope she'll do another class for Domestika. I recommend her wholeheartedly!

Eu amei esse curso! Ele é super completo, tanto na parte do bordado e técnicas, quanto na parte de arte. A professora é muito didática e calma ao passar seu conhecimento, além do material de apoio ser muito bom e contribuir para o aprendizado. Recomendo!!!

Sol is a great artist and explains things very well and in detail. It's less about individual embroidery techniques and more about the artistic process. Very inspiring course.

Sol is an excellent teacher and she explains very clearly each step. Some suggestions to improve the course even more: more in depth lessons on the eyes, the camera needs to be closer to her hands while embroidering, sometimes it was hard to see the stitches!
