“Hi, I'm Astrid and I'm also known as Urban Anna. I live in the north of the Netherlands with my husband, two sons and a cat, Luna. I work part-time as a webmaster and on my days off I love to paint and illustrate. During lockdown in 2020, we all got forced to work at home. I decided to learn copperplate calligraphy because I love the swirly letters and also to pass the time. I wrote a lot of quotes with my calligraphy pen and gradually added some flowers, feathers and birds. I wanted to colour those illustrations and I bought a cheap set of watercolours.
