“In this lesson I will show you what the base pattern is. We will understand why patterns are drawn in half or why they are made up to the waist. We will start to think in three dimensions and we will understand where each area corresponds so that when making your pattern it is easier for you to understand it. The patterns are usually drawn only in the middle because since the body is symmetrical it is much easier to achieve this symmetry by cutting the fabric by folding in half than having to make the pattern complete. Paulatim is her personal creative workshop, where she designs garments, advises on pattern making and teaches sewing to anyone who wants to create their own clothes and take care of their garments by giving them a new life. It is a meeting space, but also for environmental awareness.
