Introduction to Soundtrack: How to create music for your animation project
“We're glad you're here! It was a great pleasure, at the same time a good challenge, for us to prepare and present this course. We hope you enjoyed it and that from now on you will create and produce other personal soundtracks for scenes from existing projects. From the notion of tools, mapping and arrangement techniques and the track's relationships with other sound and visual elements, we believe that you can follow creative paths in this universe. Now, we have selected some essential steps to help prepare your project: • Summarize what you have in your briefing and create your self-briefing, bringing your own perceptions and ideas of possibilities. • Decoupage and map the scene, as seen in class and worked on in the Unit 3 task. If you wish, use the Cuesheet Template that we have included in the additional resources. • Research, create your theme and make its arrangement and mock-up, as seen in Unit 4, so that the theme can fit as best as possible into the narrative of the scene. • Generate your final file, ideally a Sound Movie (can be .mp4), to present your project.
