For sketching and pencil construction, we will use Sakura's Sumo Grip pencil with H-lead. In my opinion, this pencil has an excellent grip. The HB lead will not be too soft in order to avoid smudging and keep the drawing clean while not digging into the paper. It also helps me maintain the same thickness of the line.
