“Now that we've played a little bit with composition and natural elements that we like from our references, we're going to move into the final sketch. First, we have to pick our animal subject. So now it's time for me to return to my Pinterest board, the one I talked about earlier, where I collected several photos of raccoons and various poses. I'm going to use some of these poses to create four different character studies just to get a sense of the movement and the dynamics of the raccoon, and to see if there's a pose that I want to use for my final illustration.
