“I know you are wondering why we started this lesson doing an exercise called gradients. Let me explain a little bit what happens with the thread unlike other techniques. For example, when we use watercolor, If we want that watercolor to be a little clearer, we drink some water we submerge it with our brush and in this way we generate a gray or a lighter tone. But what about the thread? I cannot submerge the thread in water to generate a lighter shade of that thread. So what we have to do is generate different textures with different gray scales in order to generate different tones. So in th...”
