2 - Draw the scene in pencil and identify the 2 colors you want to represent on the linoleum: color A on plate 1 and color B on plate 2. 3 - Start engraving the plates. Take a gouge suitable for the surface to be engraved. Start with the contours in order to create a groove to protect the areas to be saved. 4 - Paint the plate with the lightest color first and let it dry. Do not overload the roller and try to add ink gradually so as not to block the grooves. 5 - Ink the plate with the darkest color. Finally, add some finishing touches, such as gold leaf, which will be applied with a varnish.
