About the final project for: Captivating and Dynamic Character Creation

Captivating and Dynamic Characters Creation

“You’ve reached the end of the course; pat yourself on the back! I hope you learned much about character design and can apply it to all your future creations. Before saying goodbye, let’s go over an example of the steps I would love to see for your final character illustration: First Steps Create a lineup of characters using a prompt of your choosing. Focus on making each character unique by using the principles of character design.

The pose Choose the pose you’d like to illustrate and fit it to your canvas focusing on composition and balance. Explore colour variations before committing to one using references.
The Character Render your character while indicating form, volume, and texture. Add lighting (or decide not to!) and your final touches to make your character shine.
Be kind to yourself when critiquing your final illustration; think about the progress you’ve made from each art piece you create. I’d love to see your character creations! Remember, no matter where you are in your art journey; we’re all here to learn! I encourage you to give constructive advice and encouraging words to your classmates. Share your final project by clicking “Create Your Project”. It’s inspiring and always helpful when we all work together! I’ll also review your work and give feedback as often as possible. See you in the forum!”
