Cris Peter
A course by Cris Peter
Cris Peter is a digital comic book colorist with 20 years of experience. Throughout her career, she has worked with renowned publishers such as Marvel, DC, DarkHorse and Image, in addition to collaborating with Maurício de Sousa. Recognized for her significant contributions, she has been nominated for prestigious awards such as the Eisner Awards and received the HQMix and Ângelo Agostini trophies. Her portfolio includes national authorial projects, such as "Pétalas", in partnership with Gustavo Borges, and the miniseries "RedTag", developed with Stout Club.
From an early age, Cris was fascinated by colors, preferring to color rather than draw. The discovery of Photoshop sparked her interest, leading her to explore color theory and its applications in depth. The experience she has accumulated over the years has enabled her to develop her own techniques and understand the common difficulties in coloring comics. Cris shares her knowledge with passion, believing in the importance of narrative and the ambiance that color provides. With an approach that combines tools, theory and practice, she seeks to promote immersive and meaningful experiences through her art.
