Introduction to Landscape Design
“Congratulations! You have reached the end of this course. Thank you so much for joining me! I loved sharing my passion for art and design. I hope that this has inspired you to look at the landscape with a new perspective and that you will wander slowly through a forest or garden to enjoy the textures and colors. Remember to use your sketchbook and camera to notice the details around you! It's now time to work on your project or share it if you have already finished it. Either way, I strongly suggest you take the time to gather inspiration as well as all the necessary information to create a thoughtful landscape design. Practicing the different skills you have learned throughout the course will also be of great help. As a reminder, I've summarized the main steps you should follow to complete your project. • Create your bubble diagram and concept plan to work through how you would like to lay out each element in the landscape. • Start with a pencil to draw in the hardscape, bed lines, and program elements. • Use your circle template and pencil to draw in the plants to complement the design, starting with the plants in the back of the bed and adding plants in layers towards the front of the bed. • When you're happy with the design, grab your pens and ink in the design. • Use your markers to add color and make the design pop!
