“In this lesson I am going to tell you how to incorporate color into your biomaterials. It is important that you think about color from the beginning. Since most biomaterials carry water, what we are going to do is replace the water with dye. I generally use two ways to color. One is pigments and the other is dyes. Now I am going to show you the pigments that I use. This pigment is from annatto seeds, gives an orange color. This other pigment is from beets and gives a purple color. The third is onion skins and it gives this color a little brown, tan. And the latter is made from yerba mate, w...”
